Galloway On Fire As La Salle Eases Past GW 78-63


Ramon Galloway scored a career-high 28 points on only 12 shots as the La Salle Explorers beat George Washington 78-63 for their 13th straight win at Gola Arena.  Galloway missed only one shot the entire game and also contributed 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the win.  His 21 first half points helped propel the Explorers to a 51-38 halftime lead, which grew to as many as 20 midway throught the second half.  GW never got closer than 13 points as La Salle coasted to the easy win.

Other double figure scorers for the Explorers were Earl Pettis with 15 and Jerrell Wright with 12.  Tyreek Duren and Sam Mills combined for 7 assists against only 2 turnovers.  Freshman Steve Zack, getting extended minutes because of an injury to Devon White, made the most of them with career-highs in points (9) and blocked shots (3).  Nemanja Mikic's 13 points led three GW players in double figures.  Leading scorer Tony Taylor was held to only 7 points in another outstanding defensive effort by Ramon Galloway.

La Salle now moves to 15-6 overall and 4-2 in the A10 which places them in a 5-way tie for first place.  GW falls to 8-12 overall and 3-3 in A10 play.
