Explorers Grab Late 2011 Commitment

Rohan Brown, a 6'6" forward from East Catholic HS in Manchester, CT., committed to La Salle University and enrolled in school on Tuesday.  Brown had planned to attend Choate Rosemary Hall Prep for a post-grad year, but his strong play during the July evaluation period netted him multiple offers and he gave a verbal commitment to La Salle as a 2011 recruit last Friday after visiting earlier last week.

Young Explorers Go 3-1 In Preseason Trip To Canada

Teamwork, help defense, and breakout performances by Earl Pettis, Sam Mills, and Jerrell Wright helped La Salle to a 3-1 record during their five day trip to Canada. The Explorers defeated reigning Canadian National Champion Carleton University twice (one exhibition and one closed scrimmage) and the University of Ottawa once, while falling to a Carleton University Alumni All-Star team for their lone loss.

Ramon Galloway To Play in 2011-12

The Explorers get an early Christmas present from the NCAA with the announcement of Ramon Galloway getting a hardship waiver which will allow him to play during the 2011-12 season.
