La Salle Slips Past Penn 68-57
La Salle jumped out to an 8-0 lead to start the game and never looked back on their way to a hard-fought 68-57 win over Big Five rival Penn. The Explorer defense shut down the Quakers who only shot 33.9% from the floor. In particular, Ramon Galloway did an outstanding job, holding Penn's leading scorer Zack Rosen to 8 points, almost ten points under his average.
Tyreek Duren filled the stat sheet with 21 points, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 3 rebounds while Earl Pettis (18) and Sam Mills (12) both scored in double figures. Jerrell Wright chipped in with 9 points, 8 rebounds, and a block. Penn was led by Fran Dougherty (14) and Tyler Bernardini (12).
